Keith and Hilary Shelton, senior vice president of the NAACP, discuss renewed efforts by the Koch brothers and the American Legislative Exchange Council to dampen turnout by voters more likely to support progressive causes on Election Day. According to Shelton, the Koch brothers’ attempts to underwrite disenfranchisement are “unprecedented.” He says, “it’s sad to see that rather than get people to support their agenda, rather than working with the American people under our democratic process, they would undercut the entire process by suppressing votes.”
